We are a collective seeking to gather signatures from ordinary citizens like yourselves and us, individuals who are never consulted on matters such as a genocide, an invasion, an embargo, or the numerous global events against which we wish to protest.
This platform offers a space where we can ensure our voices are heard, and if we successfully cultivate a considerable population, governing bodies will be obliged to listen to us.
We have grown weary of witnessing injustice daily and remarking, 'This should not be happening,' only to immediately return to our daily lives and forget about it because we felt powerless to act.
Now, at the very least, we know that we can take a minute to digitally sign our referendum, share the link with our friends and acquaintances, and aim to reach one billion signatures. This goal is attainable, given that nearly 5 billion people have internet access, as 5.5 billion global users were registered in 2024, equivalent to 68% of the world's population, according to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Since the majority of people worldwide are aged between 16 and 64, most internet users fall within this age range, which leads us to consider this a suitable number.
